EFA has recently been named as an approved Energy Auditor for the Michigan Saves Commercial Energy Loan Program. The program is currently in a pilot phase and limiting projects to the City of Detroit.
Businesses can access low interest loans for energy efficiency improvements that reduce energy costs. Loans up to $150,000 with interest rates from 1.99% - 5% are available with 20% demonstrated energy savings on qualified energy efficiency projects.
Additionally, Michigan Saves will contribute up to $1,500 for an energy audit for pre-qualified facilities.
Eligible improvements include:
- Interior Lighting Retrofits
- Exterior & Site Lighting Retrofits
- Heating, Cooling, & Ventilation System Improvements
- Hot Water Heating Systems
- Commercial Refrigeration & Cooking Equipment
- Building Envelope Improvements (Insulation, Windows, Roofing)
